To know Jesus is to experience him.
True relationship is sensed in the heart and felt in the bones. It’s to encounter someone else, to have your heart stirred with feeling and emotion when they walk into the room. To know someone is to be affected by their nearness.
Is this how you know Jesus?
Jesus, in his kindness, has given you his people as a sacred way of encountering him today. We find the risen Son of God still walking the earth today through the Spirit empowered lives of his people.
In other words, Jesus is where his people are.
This book is about a lot of things, but it’s mostly an encouragement from me to you. I want to encourage you to devote yourself to following Jesus and living like family with a small group of people. I believe that a return to the simplicity of living intentionally with other followers of Jesus has the potential to alter the course of our lives, bring revival to the church, and change the world.
So find a still, quiet place and join me for a few hours of reflection, learning, and dreaming. By devoting ourselves to living communally with the family of Jesus, we’ll experience Jesus himself,
and that changes everything.
The Union Community
God desires his church to live like a family.

The UC is a network of small groups from various church settings that have decided to relentlessly pursue living like family in their own contexts. It’s a place to grow, be encouraged, share struggles, and dream of a future that centers obedience to the commandment of Jesus to love one another. The UC operates more like a support group than a classroom, with encouragement and real-world application being the goal over simply learning new information.
It’s all free. Whether you’re feeling the call to start your own family of faith or take your existing community to a more intentional level, I want to hear your heart, ideas, and dreams.
